Newton Dining Table stands up graciously on gold-plated spheres

The Portuguese design firm, Boca do Lobo, best known for their acclaimed historic pieces like the Versailles Sofa and the Heritage Sideboard have now successfully ventured into using science as their inspiration. Who better to help begin a journey into science than Isaac Newton? Their latest creation, “Momentum,” uses Newton’s gravity laws to create this unique limited edition table. The entire creation is composed of lustrous spheres and semi spheres accumulated one on top of another, linked side by side by gravity. The use of casting, lacquering, and varnishing helps to solidify this table as a sturdy dining table in your home. The table comes in three different kinds, with the liquid orbs being crafted from myrtle burl veneer, walnut root veneer, or gold plated brass.

With the three-color combinations of black and gold, gold and myrtle, and black and walnut to choose from, you can pick the color combination that works best with your decor. However, quite frankly, this piece will stand out no matter what decor you place it in. The table is ideal for seating 8 to 10 people.
