13 – Arctic Bath, Sweden
Opening: Fall 2018

Arctic Bath is Swedish Lapland’s new floating hotel. The construction itself is closer to an art installation, lodged in ice throughout winter, misty with steam from the communal bath and saunas at its center. Activities include cold baths, various water activities, several saunas, spa treatments, shop, lounge, and a restaurant.


12 – Hilton Lake Como, Italy
Opening: Early 2018

Located just a short walk to local landmark Villa Olmo and close to the city center, The Hilton Lake Como will offer personalized service, unique views of the lake from the sky bar, and a rooftop pool. 11 – Lido House, Newport Beach, USA
Opening: March

5 three-story cottages situated near the marina, beach, and shops of Newport Beach will house the new 130-room boutique hotel, a saltwater pool with private cabanas, a luxury fitness center and spa, and the only rooftop bar in town. Guests can expect Cape Cod-style architecture, seasonal dishes at restaurant The Mayor’s Table, and a fashionable celebration of the SoCal lifestyle.


10 – NoMad Las Vegas, USA
Opening: Late 2018

Part of Vegas Strip’s Monte Carlo Resort and Casino will find a new soul when it reopens as the NoMad Las Vegas. At 292 guestrooms, it will be a rather confidential hotel compared to the next door 2,700-room Park MGM luxury resort, and others. Dining experiences include the NoMad Restaurant by Daniel Humm and Will Guidara (Eleven Madison Park, New York City) along with the Italian superstore Eataly.


9 – Oberoi Marrakech, Morocco
Opening: May

The Oberoi Marrakech will be nestled within fragrant citrus orchards and ancient olive groves. The resort will offer 84 spacious, modern villas and suites, incorporating handcrafted Moroccan design features and boasting scenic views of the Atlas Mountains. All villas and suites will have a private heated pool and access to the 2,500sqm spa with Turkish hammams.

8 – Six Senses Fort Barwara, India
Opening: 2018

Six Senses Fort Barwara will open in a 14th-century fort, 3 hours away from Jaipur. 48 suites, 2 restaurants, 2 swimming pools, a kids club, and a 2,800sqm Six Senses Spa and fitness center are being created. The spa will offer extensive Ayurveda programs, meditation, and Six Senses Integrated Wellness programs.


7 – The Morpheus, Macau
Opening: Summer

The new crown-jewel of City of Dreams will feature 780 guestrooms and suites including 3 luxurious villas with interior private pool. This nebulous aluminum skeleton in the fast-growing Cotai Strip will reveal a web of sky-bridges and high-speed observation lifts across deep voids and a top-floor sky pool, 130 meters above ground. Morpheus is one of the late projects by celebrated Zaha Hadid.
