A touch of Thainess at the new Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa

Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas made their foray into the emirate of Dubai earlier this year with the opening of the Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa – a luxurious, Thai inspired beach resort, on the iconic Palm Jumeirah. The resort boasts of 293 beachfront guest rooms and villas that are designed with Thai influences and lagoon and palm views. The rooms are divided into clusters of four to eight guest rooms to maximize privacy while 130 of these rooms boast direct access to 10,000 sq m of lagoon pools. The resort also offers Anantara two bedroom beach pool villas for families and friends, in addition to the Middle East’s first over-water villas with glass-viewing panels that reveal underwater glimpses of the Arabian Sea.

Ideal for the family the resort offers several unique leisure features like the 400 meter long private beach, three beautiful lagoon-inspired pools and a 50 meter shoreline infinity pool. Guests have access to a variety of water sports includes kayaking, wake boarding and paddle boarding, as well as diving and snorkeling adventures. Two well-equipped gyms, two tennis courts, a teens-club, the Chill and Tuk Tuk Kids Club are other leisure facilities available.

The property also features the Anantara Spa, with 16 luxurious treatment suites. Signature treatments include the revitalizing traditional Thai Massage or the indigenous Arabian Massage.

With six restaurants and bars, the resort brings a diverse range of culinary experiences to the Palm. Authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, to Australian-inspired flame grilled delights and specialty Asian and Mediterranean flavors are some of the options. Guests also have access to the casual swim-up bar or can enjoy charming tea rituals and cocktails on the shisha deck. For couples on a romantic break, the hotel can organize their signature Dining by Design journeys, complete with a private chef and butler. Guests get to choose where they would like their romantic table for two which could be a secluded spot on the beach, on the pontoon by the over-water villas or any other place of their preference within the resort.

True to its Thai origin, the resort incorporates several authentic Thai influences like a floating market boat that glide across the lagoons serving tropical beverages and three wheeler tuk-tuks that transport guests around the resort. There is a touch of Dubai and the local culture with a Dubai heritage corner set up in the lobby that showcases various indigenous artifacts and replicas of times gone by.

For those keen to explore more of the Emirati culture, there’s the Anantara Experiences that allow thrill-seekers to take an adrenaline-pumping dune safari, ending with a traditional Arabic banquet in a Bedouin-style desert camp, a ride in one of the world’s fastest elevators to the top of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, exploring Old Dubai with a visit to the ancient Al Fahidi Fort at Dubai Museum or a trip to Musandam off the Omani coast aboard a traditional dhow boat, followed by camping under the stars.

While the resort is very much a leisure traveler’s paradise, corporate travellers can take advantage of the property’s stylish indoor meeting and event venues with flexible layout options, as well as elegant outdoor spaces with magnificent views.

Just like in all the other destinations they operate, Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa offer a truly enriching journey with the perfect blend of cultural and modern in the United Arab Emirates. Rates for a Premier Lagoon View room at the hotel start at $498 going up to $2,117 for a two bedroom beach pool villa.
