Designers Sachin and Babi create a capsule collection for the opening of the W Hotel, Goa.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (the CFDA) and W Hotels Worldwide recently revealed plans for a collaboration that would benefit emerging designers in the CFDA’s incubator program through travel sponsorships, retreats and even inspirational trips to fuel their creativity. The collaboration continues with the launch of W’s 50th hotel, this on the sunny shores of India’s party capital: Goa. To mark the opening of this milestone hotel, designer duo Sachin and Babi will create a capsule collection inspired by Goa, a state brimming with intriguing architecture and vibrant cultures. You may recall that we had named the W Goa as one of the most anticipated hotels in our 2015 list.

The seven piece collection will feature “beach-to-night styles” including two off-the-shoulder ruffled tunics and three dresses, each decorated with pompoms which represent the region’s marigold flowers. The collection also includes a straw beach tote and turquoise glass bead earrings. Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia are both natives of India and called the opportunity to design the Goa collection a “serendipitous homecoming of sorts” which gave them a chance to revisit the youthful holidays spent in the coastal state.

With prices ranging from $275 to $765, the collection will be available at the W Goa, which opens its doors on November 1. Selected items will be available for purchase online at whotelsthestore.com
