Hilton to open first ever hotel at the iconic Silverstone Race Circuit

Motorsports fans, rejoice! Soon you’ll be able to book a stay trackside at the iconic Silverstone Circuit – home to the British Grand Prix. Hilton is due to make its debut at the UK’s premier motor racing venue. The 197-room Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone, set to open track-side in 2020, will become the first hotel at the circuit, offering exhilarating views of the race action. The Hilton hotel will include a rooftop terrace and offer race day hospitality experiences for all the major sporting events held at the venue. The property will enhance the circuit’s offering outside of the race calendar and have direct access to the famous Silverstone Wing Conference Centre via a cross-circuit footbridge.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, said: “Silverstone held the very first British Grand Prix 70 years ago and has continually hosted the event since 1987, drawing hundreds of thousands of spectators and millions of viewers around the world each year. Hilton embodies the venue’s racing legacy with a long-standing partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 Team. We are privileged to open a hotel in such a prominent location on the circuit and we cannot wait to begin welcoming guests to this iconic location.” The addition of the Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone expands the Hilton brand’s presence in another famous sports-centric venue. The company now operates more than 30 sporting venue hotels worldwide, including at Old Trafford football stadium in Manchester and The Rose Bowl cricket ground in Hampshire.
