13 – Anantara Maraú Bahia Resort, Brazil
Opening: July

Guests will arrive by plane directly to the resort’s private landing strip among a lush forest. Anantara Maraú will offer 30 guestrooms, suites, and bungalows, and an Anantara Spa. Opening: 2018

The undeveloped eastern Indonesian island of Flores will see the opening of AYANA Komodo Resort and its 189 guestrooms, 12 suites, and spa. Guests will take in the unobstructed views of the ocean from the 11th-floor lobby and access their rooms by descending towards the sandy shores. Komodo National Park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991.


9 – Six Senses Fiji, Fiji
Opening: March
