Russia plans a luxury space hotel with greater comforts


How can Russia be left far behind in the space game? After UK private firm decided to start on space tourism, a Russian company is planning to launch a “cosmic hotel” for opulent space tourists. After all, wouldn’t you want to stay awhile after all that traveling, right? The firm named Orbital Technologies will put up a four-room guest house in orbit by 2016, to which Guests would be ferried on a Soyuz style shuttle.

These cabins will be 20 cubic meters wide and can house up to seven people. The food server will be as per passenger preferences. The Moscow-based firm has not revealed pricing, funding, or building details.
