If you were one of those ooh-ing and aah-ing over Carrie Bradshaw’s swoon-worthy SATC-2 Abu Dhabi hotel suite, this will probably leave you dumbstruck (as it did me). The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi has unveiled a magnanimous 2,100 square meters of sheer luxury. The resort’s flagship Royal Suite is the largest hotel suite in the United Arab Emirates, spanning two lavish floors. With four bedrooms, the duplex occupies the top two floors of the resort’s west wing and is priced at over $35,000 a night. Said Max Wiegerinck, Hotel Manager, “this is a luxurious home away from home, both, distinguished and relaxed, with personal butler service and a private spa treatment room, adding to its bespoke nature.” So, while private and bespoke ring in your ears at the mere mention of this lush revelry, the master bedroom screams nature with a grand ocean view from its private balcony.
Spread across the entire lower floor, it also comes outfitted with a spacious ocean-facing bathroom and spa room. The palatial living room houses a Steinway grand piano and exudes a grandeur so elegant, paving the way for the regal 12-seater dining room, which complemented by the signature St. Regis Butler Service offers an experience embodiment of all things fine and culinary. Also situated in the suite are three individual bedrooms, a private study, a mini-cinema and a games room as well as spacious terrace with bar and an outdoor swimming pool.
Designed by UAE-based Enigma Design, the interior takes inspiration from the sand and the sea, ancient sea worn stones and driftwood. Its enamoring earth-toned palette with shades of sea mist, blue and teal reflects comfort and class in the lap of a natural luxury. A stunning spiral staircase with a reflective water feature and curated artwork from around the world, add to the relaxed splendor of this fit-for-a-royal suite.
