We chose the stunning Retreat Water Villa as our Suite of the Week. The villa is set 100 metres off the tip of the main island and is the ideal escape from the outside world. Measuring 1615 Sq. Ft., each villa features two rooms, one with its own double spa treatment room as well as a whirlpool on the large sun deck with steps leading down into the ocean below. The suite is done tastefully in natural elements and effortlessly blends contemporary Maldivian style to sit in harmony with nature. The use of colors blue and white is an example of the room blending with the sky and ocean.
We absolutely love the bathroom which is accented with large windows that can be fully opened to create an indoor outdoor effect or simply closed allowing the room to be illuminated with natural light. Wherever you are in your water villa, the azure blue waters of the Indian ocean is always in your sight allowing you to feel at one with nature. The ocean is your own private pool any time of the day or night. What more could one ask for?
