If you are one of those craving isolation, far away from the hustle-bustle of urban life, I’d highly recommend Amangiri’s property amidst the Utah Desert. Built on 600 acres of hinterland and embedded well within the beautiful canyons of the American Southwest, this lavish resort is undoubtedly a one-of-a-kind experience with basically nothing to interrupt that much-awaited weekend.
Reflecting the intriguing characteristics of the Utah desert, the Amangiri property boasts accommodation options influenced by the surrounding dunes and mountain ridges. Of course, every room offers luxury at its best but my personal favourite is the Desert Pool Suite and well there are a million reasons why!
Paying homage to its name, the spacious suite spans over 1,614 square feet and offers gorgeous views of the neighbouring dunes and plateaus. To battle the heat of the desert, unwind in your intimate plunge pool and when relaxing gets too much for you, cherish an evening in your sky terrace star-gazing. I am convinced Amangiri has gained much inspiration from nature, given the suite features white stone floors, concrete walls, natural timbers and fittings in blackened steel.
My favourite element in the suite is the private terrace by the fireplace. It’s absolutely stunning and gives you that warm feeling in the middle of the desert. While the suite may boast features inspired by nature, it yet echoes oodles of contemporary and modern design with their sound system and state-of-the-art technology within the privacy of your suite.
The impressive suite entails a living area along with a king size bed set well in the master bedroom. Walk into the bathroom and soak in the amenities with a white-washed tub, twin vanities, dressing area along side twin rain showers and a separate toilet.
Now now, what’s a suite without a few perks. Let’s get right down to that! So a full-board service for two, the impressive in-room mini bar and private transfers to and fro Page Airport just form the icing on the cake (unfortunately, no alcoholic beverages form part of this). When boredom strikes, take advantage of their group hikes and custom itinerary planning services all included in your room tariff.
