Cappadocia is definitely one of my favourite places! With the rugged terrain, cotton-candy skies dotted with hot air balloons and birthplace of ancient civilisations, Cappadocia is oozing with culture and adventure.
Perched atop the Uchisar Valley, the Ariana Sustainable Luxury Lodge is eternally my humble abode when I visit this fascinating destination. A member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the lodge features only 11 rooms giving it that deluxe boutique vibe.
Each room has its own name, but my personal favourite is the AJA suite. Amidst the cozy setting of Cappadocia, this 409 square feet suite entails a queen size bed, a spacious living room, coupled with a warm cedar seating area, perfect for that picturesque sunset.
The focus here is on comfort and plushness, especially given the 100% Egyptian cotton 500 thread count premium linens and the bath experience, oozing with rock and onyx walls and L’Occitane bath products. The suite is dressed up with opulent furnishings, impressive photo portraits and luxurious pillows. Of course, the modern amenities are state-of-the-art with a Media Hub, Apple TV (on request) and an iPod/iPhone docking station with the virtual surround speaker system
