Think stylish, chic and an immaculately designed hotel on Amsterdam’s most fashion friendly street! Here’s presenting Amsterdam’s Conservatorium Hotel well encompassed in a 19th century building.
We can’t deny that the location is perfect! With tourist spots like The Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum to one side, the likes of Cartier, Gucci and Armani on the other, this hotel has definitely won some brownie points when it comes to its prime position.
The in-house Taikos restaurant wows food connoisseurs with delicacies from Chef Schilo van Coevorden’s kitchen. At Taiko the sashimi-grade tuna is delicious and the beef sizzling on the Josper BBQ is absolutely authentic. The 18 metre pool and renowned spa is a must-visit.
Given the building’s history, count on a selection of various room shapes and sizes – varying from 28 m2 to 170 m2. High-level ceilings in the building have been cleverly converted into split level rooms and suites. Our personal favourite is the hotel’s Concerto Suite.
Featuring tones of calming neutrals, the Concerto Suite is one of the hotel’s signature suites spread across two floors and covering a space of over 90 sq m. The one bedroom suite entails a separate kitchen and dining room.
The suite features demure shades of brown, beige and grey with a random splash of colour. The historic architectural windows allow natural light to adorn the spaces, while the generously sized bedroom on the mezzanine level provides expansive views of the courtyard.
The bathroom was one of our personal favourites! With oval stone bath areas and a rainfall shower, the marble clad space offers an LCD mirror TV and Loccitane toiletries with front row views of the Stedelijk Museum.
Luckily this suite also has an option to connect to a junior suite with a separate entrance.
