I traveled to Delhi only last week and stayed at the opulent Lodhi Hotel. A member of the Leading Hotel of the World, the hotel is undoubtedly one of my preferred options in the capital, mostly because of its ability to integrate simplicity and luxury. Perched on nearly seven acres on the green edge of Lutyens Delhi, The Lodhi entails a plethora of gourmet dining options and a lavish residing experience in its eight floors of guest accommodation.
After an extensive renovation in 2013, all rooms and suites now entail private balconies. Situated near the Lodhi Gardens, with ancient trees and beautifully designed tombs dating from the Lodhi era (1451 to 1526), the hotel is at a short distance from the center of New Delhi and Connaught Place. Just to let you know, the hotel has been named as the number one hotel in India by Conde Nast Traveler.
The colossal Lodhi Suite spanning 2,400 sq ft is my personal favorite. The two bedroom suite entails an entrance foyer, living room, dining area along with a fabulous plunge pool and private balcony. Located at either end, the two separate bedrooms provide utmost privacy, and of course, each bedroom has its own individual bathroom.
In addition to complimentary access to the hotel’s exclusive recreational facilities – tennis courts, squash courts, techno gym, the hotels also provide complimentary breakfast, airport transfers, and Wi-Fi.
