The greatest golf course to be built in Scotland by Trump

Scotland has a new feather in its cap to boast of all thanks to Donald Trump. The American billionaire plans to build “the greatest golf course anywhere” on an 800-acre stretch of sand dunes at Menie Estate, Aberdeen shire, in North-East Scotland. A die-hard, self-confessed golf adherent is passionate about Scotland as much as he is for the chic game. This passion is inherited from his mother who was born in Scotland. The development, which will be known as Trump International Golf Links, Scotland, will be comprised of two championship golf courses, a five-star hotel with associated facilities, a state-of-the-art golf academy, and a turfgrass research center. The development will also include a mixed-use residential element. Planning and permitting is underway, with work set to start by September, and a course opening in spring 2008. The courses will be Donald J. Trump Signature Designs.

The architect working on this is none other than the eminent Tom Fazio along with his team. The $382.592 m golf development for the Menzie Estate could bring $191.296m to the local economy and create 400 jobs. As reports go Mr. Trump is said to be unhappy about plans for a wind farm off the coast of Aberdeen which would affect the view. Now Mr. Trump with 800 acres of land in your kitty why are you bothered such nuances can be ignored.
