Not all things luxurious need to be made of gold and baubles. Sometimes it is the sheer craftsmanship and design that make a piece stand apart. This exquisite treasure chest for jewels designed by renowned furniture designer Jaime Tresserra Clapés is a fine example of excellence in craftsmanship. Christened the Joyero, this jewelry box–cum–vanity is made of either light walnut or a checkered mix of light and dark walnut marquetry. It comprises two chests atop a console, a security lock, and a removable mirror. The quotation “Let me appear this way until I become real” from Dada Baroness, Elsa Freytag-Loringhoven, will be engraved on the back of each hand mirror, of only the luck first four editions of the Joyero.
The interiors of this fine box are lined in dark brown or hazelnut leather. A lady who loves her baubles will surely find it hard to resist the temptations of this exquisite creation. The Joyero has an asking price of approximately $26,000. Do we have any takers?
