Bvlgari has always wooed me without much hesitation! The limited yet uber stylish portfolio conceptualised by the Italian brand is always a preferred brand by people of all generations. More importantly, the dedication, art, and taste that moulds each product is simply phenomenal.
Bvlgari’s Splendida collection is an eternal favourite and with the collection, the brand is commemorating “the most iconic flowers in the history of perfumery”, paying an ode to the iris, the rose, and the jasmine. In 2018, the spotlight is on the gorgeous scent of magnolia with Magnolia Sensuel.
Perfumer Jacques Cavallier played a crucial role in the curation of the iconic magnolia fragrance calling the flower “an unforgettable note”, Magnolia Sensuel aims to showcase the “supreme beauty” of the flower and by extension, the Bvlgari woman who wears it.
I was instantly attracted to the fresh notes of white florals, an evergreen scent of sorts. The fragrance somehow maintains an intriguing balance between floral and warm; not inclining entirely towards the zingy scents magnolia possesses. The fragrance does not entail a dramatic personality, rather resonates a subtle seductive note. The ruby red bottle is indeed seductive with its blood-red palette and its curved bottle.
