Designer Sanchita Ajjampur collaborates with Yves Saint Laurent


Bangalore based designer Sanchita Ajjampur isall set to add another prestigious label to her profile. After successful stints with prestigious designers like Etro, Chloe, Aspesi, Marni, Lanvin and Louis Vuitton, Sanchita will now consult the French luxury fashion house Yves Saint Laurent.

Sanchita started working with Romeo Gigli in the early 1990s, and since then she has worked as a consultant designer with global brands the calibre of Moschino, Aspesi, Cassoli, Iceberg, Blumarine, Gucci, Diesel and Armani in Italy. Sanchita’s label is known to design eclectic collections for the modern woman who wants to infuse clothes she wears with her own personality as it is a crosscurrent of myriad textures and layers of India amalgamated with the European art and sartorial design. She has collaborated on industrial applied design projects for Alessi homeware, Swatch watches, Glas Design mirrors and Slamp lamps. She has also exhibited her “applied art” embellished works in Venice, Rome, New York and Chicago with the artists Arianna Caroli and the late John Drake Moore. She shuttles between Europe and India, as now she is prepping for the upcoming Autumn Fashion Week.

With a master’s in Fashion and Technology from Paris and Milan, Sanchita is the creative director of Sanfab India Pvt Ltd.
