Draping a sari just got easier with Kalpana Shah’s new Learn Sari App

Nothing makes a woman look more beautiful than a sari. Mumbai-based sari drapist extraordinaire, Kalpana Shah is also of the same opinion. In fact, her newly-launched uber cool Learn Sari App will tell you exactly that. A boon for Indian women struggling with the gorgeous nine yards, the app is a go-to for all dilemmas related to the garment. Complete with easy-to-follow steps, precise instructions, and a whole host of visual aids the mini crash course takes the art of sari-draping to the next level. Is that a sigh of relief we hear? Wait, there’s more – the app also shows you a plethora of different ways to don a sari. From simple and elegant to corporate and chic to traditional and complex, the app covers it all.

Kalpana, who is one of the most in-demand celebrity sari draper’s in the industry has also authored a coffee table book under Klipart Kreations P. Ltd. called, “The Whole 9 Yards.” Both the book and the app shed light on Shah’s deep understanding of her craft by highlighting her genius cult draping techniques which are famous for combining both, traditional and the modern styling methods.

“The sari has been the culture of India for years. This one unstitched garment can be draped in hundreds of styles. It can look gorgeous on any shape or body size. It can be worn in a traditional fashion; or even as a modern garment, like a gown. The sari is here to stay,” says Kalpana. And we find it hard not to believe her; especially with the launch of the unique new app which is presently available for free on both Android and IOS mobile platforms.
