Guppy by Ai to replace Thalassa at Olive, Mumbai

Goa’s popular eatery Thalassa is all set to take back it’s shores to the costal region, as the pop up at Olive, Mahalaxmi is all set to be replaced by New Delhi’s Guppy by Ai.

Following the success of the Thalassa pop-up at the Mahalaxmi outpost of the Olive Bar and Kitchen, restaurant and owner A. D. Singh is attempting to repeat the formula by setting up, in pop-up form, his trendy Delhi Japanese restaurant Guppy By Ai at his South Mumbai establishment. In terms of both decor and menu, the pop-up will mirror the Delhi flagship, which specialises in contemporary Japanese cuisine, including plenty of vegetarian options. At the helm of Guppy is our award winning Chef Vikram Khatri, recipient of the chef of the year award. Chef Vikram is fiercely devoted to freshness, hygiene and technique. His offerings at Guppy are inspired by Japan with bold striking flavours. You could taste the spicy, the tangy, and the exotic all in one bite.

This Japanese restaurant has created quite a buzz in Delhi with its contemporary take on the cuisine and we cannot wait to try some Tiger Prawns, in it’s Mumbai outpost soon.
