LA’s Taco King and Gauri Khan bring Sancho’s back to us

Mumbai’s favorite Mexican diner found a new location on our city’s culinary landscape; more so Chef Esdras Ochoa has reinvented Sanchos’ menu giving it oodles of oomph and flavor. Further, Gauri Khan was brought on board and her impeccable style can be observed in the contrasting tones and chic interiors.

Chef Ochoa brings tonnes of experience from his stints in Mexicali Taco & Co in Downtown LA and 11 Westside in Hong Kong. He is now excited to take upon the challenge of transforming Sanchos into one of Mumbai’s hottest dining spots.

What one can expect on the Sanchos 2.0 menu are lip-smacking Mexican dishes oozing with fresh produce and authentic flavor, so think grilled meat, seafood and a plethora of vegetarian options. “There’s going to be an LA flair to the menu, so there’ll be healthy things like kale and grains, and avocados everywhere,” laughs chef Ochoa.

Gauri Khan has already impressed us with her designing style in Arth and we’re in love. Her ability to transform a mundane space into one with lots of character and sophistication is simply amazing! And with Sanchos, there’s no exception.

While Khan has incorporated Mexican culture and patterns into space, she has also inculcated the space with an elegant and stylish vibe. Granted, the color palette used is neutral but she then has taken pops of color and Aztec prints that add vitality to space.
