Mehair’s new seaplane service to Mula dam just made visiting Shirdi tons easier

Religious spots in India are famous for being remote and inaccessible. However, with the launch of Mehair and MTDC’s first seaplane service from Juhu to Mula Dam, visits to the holy destinations of Meherabad, Shirdi and ShaniShinglapur just got tons easier. Hot on the heels of their earlier widely-appreciated launch of seaplane services between Mumbai and Pawana dam (Lonavala), this new venture also seems to hold a lot of promise, what with lakhs of pilgrims visiting the religious sights annually. The flight, which will travel from Juhu Aerodrome in Mumbai to Mula dam, a waterdrone located between the three intended destinations, has already started making waves – Mr. Siddharth Verma, Co-Founder & Director said, “We have received a tremendous response from the fliers for Pawana (Lonavala). The service will now enable the large number of pilgrims travelling to the holy sites of Meherabad, Shirdi and ShaniShinglapur to travel quickly and conveniently to their destinations in about 45 minutes plus a short road trip as opposed to 6 hour journey by road. We are confident that the people will see the immense value of the service and will take full advantage of it.”

According to Valsa Nair Singh, Secretary Tourism and Managing Director, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), “This is a first-of-its-kind unique initiative of MTDC and we hope that local, domestic and international tourists take advantage of this service. We will be coming up with many more such offers and initiatives for the tourists in near future.”
