The much-awaited 911 GT3 launched in India at Rs. 2.31 Cr.


Porsche, the German automaker, known to generations of sports enthusiasts for its signature iteration – the 911 series, launched the 911 GT3 on 9th October, 2017 here in India.

The 911 GT3 flaunts wide air intakes, fender-filling wheels & tires, and a large rear wing, combined with rear-axle steering keeps the car track-committed. Added to this, the company has taken efforts to shed off the excessive weight of the 2018 911 GT3 to keep it more track oriented for which, in the cabin, the rear seats and a dedicated luggage compartment are removed.

Belonging to the two-seater racing breed, this powerful state-of-art creation exhibits 500 hp of throbbing power and a peak torque of 460 Nm. The mill putting out these figures is a powerful naturally aspirated 4.0-litre, flat-six engine which can be either of the 7-speed automatic PDK transmission or the 6-speed manual transmission. The PDK transmission drives out the 0-100 kmph barrier in just 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 318 kmph, while the manual transmission is a tad slower in reaching the 0-100 kmph barrier at 3.9 seconds; and tops to 320 kmph.

On the inside, the cabin has neatly carved seats with the GT3 insignia and the dash is home to the GT Sports steering wheel.

The 2018 911 GT3 is priced at a retail price of Rs. 2.31 crore and is available at all the Porsche Centres across India.
