Pics – India’s first McLaren 720S comes to Bangalore

While all the mainstream Italians have formally entered the country to satisfy our need for speed. There is one company known for its ridiculously stylish, loud and fast cars that is yet to make its mark in India. I am talking about McLaren, the British supercar maker which has brilliantly reinvented itself over the past couple of years. One of the icons of that change is the one car that swooped everyone at this year’s Geneva Motor Show and that is the McLaren 720S. It goes from 0 to 100 kims in 2.8 seconds, its engine draws air not from the vents in the front but from the doors, the car also has a drift control mode, I can just go on and on. Mclaren has produced just 400 units of the car and all have been sold out, apparently one of them belongs to a Bangalore based businessman Ranjit Sundaramurthy who has got the car to the garden city from Dubai. The British marquee will be joining the Ferrari 488 GTB, Lamborghini Huracan and the Ferrari 458 Italia in his garage.

After a traditional pooja of his latest possession, Ranjit it took out for a spin and needless to say it made heads turn and jaws drop. The left hand drive is for a limited time in the country via carnet and will be shipped to Dubai soon.
