The monsoons may not be our favorite due to water logging and interrupted transport services, but it is our most favorite because of the various delicacies we can crave and munch on at this time. The Looney, The Lover and The Poet recently introduced an all-new monsoon menu with just the things you would like to gorge on during this season.
We discovered that the Mumbai eatery has three distinctly designed spaces—an airy outdoor cafe, a family-friendly dining chamber nestled in the middle, and a cosy, dim-lit setting further inside. While we were already loving the interiors, the food had us raving about the place even more.
Our love affair with the food started off with LLP Poutine Pie. With cheese fondue and charred veggies, this one had us at the first bite. We also relished the Chicken with tomato jam poutine pie which was perfectly-spiced and super-addictive. Cheese lovers will fall head-over-heels in love with the Mac n cheese bars and French Onion Grilled Cheese Sandwich which is what we call ‘cheesy perfection’.
The LLP Special Khachapuri’s, a Georgian Flat Bread with Katsu Chicken and Tobanjaan Hollandaise was a culinary revelation we still can’t get over. Another favourite were the alcapurrias stuffed with minced lamb with cream spinach, fried egg and jalapeno ketchup. From the beverages, we’re rooting for the sinful Snickers Cappuccino.
As we ended our meal sinking our teeth into the Nutella Milk Cookie, we experienced dessert nirvana with every bite of the warm, nutella-laden, melt-in-the-mouth indulgence. After a hearty meal here, we ponder over what a delight the food, vibe and the staff is. And the monsoon menu now makes it shine even brighter.
