Andy Warhol’s artwork graces the skate room at Miami’s Delano Hotel

Miami art-lovers are in for a treat this year! The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Design Store has conceptualized a pop-up concept store at the Art Basel Miami Beach; a collaboration that also entails the luxurious Delano Hotel to commemorate the hotel’s 20th anniversary.

If you happen to drop by at MoMA, you may get a glimpse of a skate-room featuring artwork by the legendary Andy Warhol. On display will be a series of skate decks that feature Warhol’s iconic Campbell’s Soup Can design, as well as triptychs with Gold Marilyn Monroe, Guns, Car Crash, Self Portrait and Detail of the Last Supper. We hear select decks will be available for purchase in limited quantities of course.

The installation will be showcased from November 30 through December 6 at the Delano. On December 2, a special pop-up shop will feature, where you can purchase skateboard decks.

Andy Warhol’s artwork has been quite a favourite. In the past, Absolut bottles entailed artwork by Warhol.
