Bonhams offers Russian spacesuit to celebrate 50th anniversary of the first American in space


Space travel might be fun. If you want to try it out, there are some space tours that you can take. But if you just want a piece history, a rare reminder if the Space Race will soon be going under the Bonhams hammer. The auction house will holding a Space History Sale in New York. Celebrating 50 years of Alan Shepard’s space trip, several personal items of astronauts and many from the Forbes collection and the estate of NASA administrator James E. Webb will be made available. The showcased items include is Edgar Mitchell’s Apollo 14 Maurer camera which is estimated between $60,000 and $80,000 and Alexei Leonov’s Sokol K spacesuit priced between $100,000 and $150,000.
