The Dalmore distillery have just announced their prized whiskey, enigmatically christened Sirius and it comes with a price tag of £10,000 ($16,000) per bottle. The highlands of Alness close to the famous Black Isle, Scotland are famous for their distilleries. Dalmore is located in the northern part of the famed Highland of Alness. If you thought it was all about the money, the Dalmore’s 1951 Sirius Vintage is much more than an expensive bottle of whiskey. It is so exclusive that only 12 decanters would ever be produced and would be available at the flagship WDF (World Duty Free) store at Heathrow Terminal 5.
The whiskey has a complex and impeccable taste & aroma and is a single-cask, single malt whiskey. The Dalmore’s Brand Director, David Robertson revealed that in spite of the market situation, demand for the finest whiskies are growing steadily across the world.
