Prince William ropes in McVities for his D-Day cake

There will be no end to this so you might as well join the crowd. Yes, it is about Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s wedding party. The dashing Prince William (but of course) has requested biscuit manufacturer McVities to prepare the wedding cake for his royal, fairytale wedding. They have been ‘requested’ to make a dark chocolate biscuit fridge cake, one of his favourites as a child. It will have 40lb of chocolate and 1,700 Rich Tea biscuits. It will be a traditional multi-tiered fruit cake made by Leicestershire-based baker Fiona Cairns. No, it isn’t only the Prince’s say, Kate has asked for the cake to be decorated with an edible English rose, a Scottish thistle, a Welsh daffodil and an Irish shamrock. Awwww.
