I have never really figured out what is the creative fetish behind bones and skulls. After Damien Hirst presented his controversial work of art, several designers seem to have followed suit. The latest entrant is artist Jan Roedema who has designed a stunning Swarovski studded limited edition skull. Weighing at 3Kg, the skull comes encrusted with 10,000 genuine Swarovski stones.
The project was a one off for designer Roedema that was commissioned by a client. After a few tweaks to the initial design he decided to convert the steel skulls studded with crystals into a limited edition collectible. Limited to 350 units, the piece comes in a crocodile printed leather box. Each of the handcrafted pieces is priced at $ 4800.
