The perfect gift for a retro gamer – A $22,000 Solid Gold Mega Man figure


To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Mega Man, Capcom is releasing a 3.2-ounce solid gold Mega-Man figure that measuring nearly 4 inches tall. The Mega Man collectible doesn’t come cheap, though; it costs 2.4 million yen, which roughly converts to $22,000 in US money. There is also a smaller, cheaper version of the solid gold figure, which stands 2.3-inch tall and weighs 0.7-ounce. It can be yours for only 690,000 yen or $6,227. Both of them are made of 99.99-percent pure 24-carat gold and come with a glass case. Both figures are open for pre-order starting today. Mega Man, known as Rockman in Japan, was released for the Nintendo in 1987, and the series had sold about thirty million copies worldwide by 2015. The latest in the series, Mega Man 11, releases on October 2nd.
