Tom Dixon adds three new collections to his covetable range of home accessories

Having very recently opened a sandwich café at Harrods, British designer Tom Dixon shows no signs of slowing down as he launches a stunning new range of home accessories. The designer explores materials like copper, crystal and cast iron to turn everyday objects into covetable works of art. Though the designs are minimal in appearance, their metallic luster certainly sets them apart.

Their lids are created from pressed glass whose magnifying properties make the objects inside the box appear larger than they really are. Dixon describes them as “not a conventional decorative accessory, more a multifunctional design artefact that can masquerade as a treasure box”.

Dixon also expands his Cog collection, adding a brass steampunk inspired pen and storage block to his existing range of tableware.

The collections will debut at the Maison & Objet trade fair at the Nord Villepinte exhibition centre outside Paris from 23 to 27 January.
