World of Warcraft’s “Celestial Mount” earns Blizzard $2.5 Million an hour

The Matrix movies made the virtual world extremely real. And after virtual window shopping, virtual fancy stores and virtual skiing holidays, it’s now time to play virtually thanks to Blizzard. Unlike its free-to-play contemporaries, the latest World of Warcraft, the “Celestial Mount,” game will cost you $25 to play, which means the company earns a staggering amount of about $2.5 million in revenue per hour. And an unofficial estimate says the queue already has 80,000 gamers and counting, that too with a seven-hour delay for the download! Looks like stiff competition to the world’s most expensive virtual crystal space station!
