Sale of Leonardo Di Caprio’s three-unit Malibu mansion marked down by $4 million

‘tis a tale of the Great Gatsby star’s not so great get-by in real estate land. I speak here of Leo Di Caprio who’s Malibu mansion’s relisting tales are becoming almost as archaic as the language adhered to in the last sentence (read: get sold already!) The property that was purchased in 2002 only to end up as a rental ten years on, then went for sale only to go back to being a rental and is now finally up for sale (phew!) With any luck, Leo will find a buyer for the beach retreat tagged at $18.9 million, a maximal $4 mil down from its sale price in November last year.

Not one home but three separate units, the 7 bedrooms and 6 baths property sits smack on the beach with a sea-facing rooftop terrace, patio, and deck, in the main house. It also comes fitted with a gym, 2 kitchens (one in the separate guesthouse), hardwood floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows. The building boasts of a 1927 make, replete with high ceilings, exposed beams, and an open floor plan that leads straight onto the outdoor living spaces, rendering its own celebrity status amidst the Malibu weather and views.
