1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Series 1 priced at $41 million could be the most expensive GTO ever sold!

It’s been nearly five decades since the first Ferrari 250 GTO hit the streets, and this beautiful car has still managed to capture the imagination of car aficionados. The car is indeed one of the most desirable classic supercars built, and just recently, one of these was sold for a whopping $35 million! And if you’re under the impression that a car has never been that expensive, a red 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Series 1 is now on sale for $41 million on Anamera.

According to the information on the Anamera website, the car has been extremely well cared for and is as good as new; if you don’t judge it by its odometer, that is. The car is being sold by Ed Classics in the United Kingdom and is a left-hand-drive version with a five-speed manual transmission. Also, the car could be sold privately and might not be put up for sale at an auction. This Series 1 is extremely rare and is one of the 36 cars of its kind crafted. Beneath the hood, the GTO packs a 3.0-liter V12 engine producing 300hp. If the sale is actually made at the listed price, this could be the most expensive GTO ever sold!
