2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray press kit auctioned for charity

The North American International Auto Show in Detroit saw the unveiling of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, members of the motoring press were invited to the unveiling and given individually numbered press kits. The kits contained a chunky flash drive and a paperweight adorned with the Stingray badge, both of these were housed in a matte black box. To commemorate this momentous occasion, Chevrolet chose to once again partner with the American Cancer Society to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. They put up one of their press packets for auction on eBay to raise money for the charity. The press packet is the first in limited edition numbered series that has also been signed by key GM executives. The final bid was $4,300, with all the proceeds going towards ACS’s ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.’
