2015 Mercedes Benz S600 leaked online, looks similar to S550 with different badges

The North American International Auto Show at Detroit is going to kick off next week and Mercedes Benz will debut its brand new 2015 S600 model at the show, but a couple of purported pictures and spec sheet was leaked online today ahead of its official unveiling. The leaked images don’t give away too much but judging the pictures of the flagship model of the automaker, it isn’t a lot different than the S550 except for a few different badges and quad tailpipes. Instead of the S550 badges, it has a S600 badges along with a V12 badges on its sides.

The 2015 Mercedes S600 houses a V12 under the hood. The twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine is capable of producing 530hp (390 kW) and 830Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque, which makes it lesser powerful than the S65 AMG which has the same engine tuned to produce 621hp (630PS) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft). The 12 pot unit is coupled to a 7G Tronic Plus transmission offering a combined fuel economy of 11.3 l/10km on the European cycle. That’s all we know about it right now. Stay tuned for the full details on the 2015 Mercedes Benz S600 from the Detroit Motor Show.
