When you come to think of it, there’s nothing really wrong with the BMW 7 Series. The limousine is exactly what it needs to be, a massive, luxurious and comfortable sedan. There are still a few amongst us who think BMW could have done a better job with the car’s speed. Well, we accept that the car is a little sluggish, and the folks at BMW have realized it too. As the perfect solution to this, the German automaker has unveiled the 2017 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive, based on the 7 Series. The makers have cleverly managed to blend luxury and performance in one very muscular and intimidating package. Under the hood, the Alpina B7 xDrive packs a huge 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V-8 engine that’s capable of touching the 100 km/h mark in just 3.6 seconds!
With a top speed of more than 300 km/h, the Alpina B7 xDrive sports an eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. The B7 boasts 20-inch, Alpina Classic, 20-spoke wheels, while 21-inch wheels will be optionally offered. We think that this car is crafted for folks who love speeding to business meetings. BMW has managed to load the car with performance upgrades, without compromising on its looks or elegance. Pricing is expected to start at about $168,000 and the car will supposedly compete with the Jaguar XJ and the Audi S8 Plus.
