If we were to pinpoint the one common thing between renowned sports brand – Tommy Bahama and Airstream, it has the free -spirited adventuress they both endorse. And apparently we aren’t the only one to ponder on this similarity. Gathering the mutual intersects of freedom and lifestyles, the brands are about ready to take on the road with a novel fleet of special -edition RV’s. Designed to cater to the adventure loving lot, the vehicles combine travelling ease and modernity in a solitary off-roading space.
The collaborative will roll out two models this year: The Airstream Tommy Bahama Special Edition Travel Trailer and Interstate Touring Coach. Being Tommy Bahama’s first advent into automobile, the recreational autos will feature special island-inspired decor and accessories including the brand’s exclusive bedding, beach chairs, coolers, a built-in bar that is designed to hold stemless wineglasses, and tropical prints on the seats and walls. Calling Airstream founder Wally Byam an innovator and lover of the outdoors, the brand CEO – Bob Wheeler further stated, “That same freedom-loving spirit is also deeply woven into the essence of Tommy Bahama, and together we are on a mission to inspire travelers to get out there and experience all the road has to offer.”
The travel trailer (priced at $114,600) is a 28-foot long vehicle that sleeps four and includes a rear sport hatch for loading and unloading oversize gear such as bikes, kayaks as well as a queen bed. On the other hand, the Touring Coach (priced at $156,611) is a 24-feet weekend getaway van and can seat up to nine travelers. Both RV’s will be unveiled at Scottsdale, Ariz., during the waste management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale at the end of the month.
