Aston Martin crafts the DB10 specially for the next James Bond film, Spectre

No, James Bond’s biggest obsession isn’t exotic women, more money than he can handle or the screams of his enemies. He’s obsessed with a car hailing from a land of princes and queens, a land’s that’s better known as Great Britain. For years now, this super-spy and super-charmer has been driving around in the most contemporary Aston Martin of his time. To be precise, an Aston Martin has been driven by the James Bond character since the last 50 years! The car is now synonymous with the franchise and the British automaker has no plans to stop having its favorite brainchild associated with Bond. The next installment of the films, titled Spectre, will star the Aston Martin DB10, an extremely eye-catching coupe fit for an international spy, that’ll be unleashed only in limited numbers by the automaker.

That said, the DB10 will be an extremely rare sight on roads in the near future. The DB10 that’ll star in the movie and its siblings will be manufactured at Aston Martin’s facility in Gaydon, UK. The car has been designed specifically for the film, making it as unique as it gets. While Bond’s ride will come packed with all the weapons he’ll need to blow up a small country, the production version of the car will be toned down for domestic use. Quoting Dr Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin, “In the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car created especially for James Bond.” Palmer’s right. The Aston Martin DB series deserves a new alpha dog and there’s no better time to release one, than with the next Bond film hitting theaters.
