Aston Martin hitting their centenary next year is quite a remarkable event in the history of the automaker, so they had every reason to celebrate it with panache. While we were already anticipating a DBS-based mule in the headway, it came as no surprise when Aston Martin DBS Ultimate arrived directly on their public domain website. Before the new coupe arrives next year to mark the momentous occasion, Aston Martin will do the honours of granting the privilege to its customers of owning the last few numbered Ultimate editions of DBS that will ever be produced. The cars will feature special badging, a painted rear deck-lid spoiler, carbon-fiber wing mirror caps, a darkened grille, smoked tail-lamps, Zircotec-coated tail pipes and a choice of yellow, black or red brake callipers.
The interiors of the DBS Ultimate will feature diamond-quilted stitching on the leather seats and Alcantara headliner in either red or silver thread. Choosing exterior paint finishes from the Carbon Black II, Quantum Silver or Silver Fox will be up to to the customer. The vehicle could be ordered by customers in either coupe or Volante convertible body-styles and with either a manual or automatic transmission.
There is no information on pricing and availability for the car yet, as we are still waiting for the press release to show up.
