Aston Martin DBS Volante to Premiere Geneva Motor Show next week


We can finally reveal the details about the stunning 2009 Aston Martin DBS Volante. The car is a convertible featuring a fabric roof that can be retracted in 14 seconds at speeds up to 30mph and supposedly looks as amazing with the hood up as the hood down. Aston Martin’s 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 510 bhp (380kw/517PS) and 570 Nm (420lb feet) of torque with a top speed of 191 mph (307km/h) and 0-62 mph (0-100km/h) in time of 4.3 seconds. The weight of the sedan was kept down at 3,990 pounds through the use of a lightweight roof mechanism, along with a carbon fiber hood along with a front splitter and trunk lid. It will be Aston Martin’s 16th convertible in 95 years when the DBS Volante will premiere at the Geneva Auto Salon on the 3rd March 2009. Take a look at the pictures after the jump.
