Audi Japan launches A8 L Chauffeur Edition for buyers who demand more opulence from their luxury limo

Audi Japan has introduced a limited-edition version of the flagship A8 L model called the Chauffeur Edition. Based on the long-wheelbase A8 facelift, only five examples of the Chauffeur Edition will be built and all will come with 20-inch alloy wheels featuring an Audi Sport 10Y spoke design. As the name suggests, majority of the upgrades made to the limited edition A8 L are found inside the cabin. The interior of the Chauffeur Edition features a special Marble Gray theme. In addition to that, it comes with a minibar integrated between the rear seats along with a cabinet built into the center console that’s designed to store Audi Exclusive-branded glasses, huge screens mounted on the front seatbacks and individual reading LED lights.

There are very few cosmetic changes made to the limited edition A8 L and it looks pretty much identical to the standard variant. Audi has also not made any mechanical modifications under the hood. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter TFSI V8 engine that makes 435 horsepower and 406 foot-pounds of torque. While the regular A8 4.0 TFSI LWB is priced from ¥15,640,000 ($127,528) in Japan, buyers will have to shell out ¥16,280,000 ($132,747) to own one of the five A8 L Chauffeur Edition models.
