2016 Bentley Flying Spur gets new sporty Beluga edition trim

British luxury marquee Bentley has launched a new ‘Beluga’ special edition of its Flying Spur saloon, offered exclusively in the V8 model. The new Beluga Specification trim according to Bentley “affords the Flying Spur a more athletic stance and purposeful appeal” by including exclusive 20-inch ‘Black and Bright’ alloy wheels, a gloss-black radiator grille and a body-colored lower grille bar. On the inside, there are “swathes of piano black veneer” along with knurled paddle shifters. The seats, steering wheel, floor mats and the boot carpet have been given a contrasting leather finish.

Mechanically, the Beluga Specification trim is identical to the V8 Flying Spur saloon. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine that produces 500 hp and 487 Nm of torque, allowing it to propel from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. The car is mated to a ZF 8-Speed automatic transmission, which transfers the power to all the wheels of the car. Deliveries of the Beluga edition will be made to buyers in the autumn.
