BMW announces plans to integrate HD technology in its latest models

The developer of HD Radio technology, iBiquity Digital Corporation recently announced that BMW plans to offer factory installed HD Radio Technology as a standard feature in its Flagship 2009 model Year 7 series and 6 Series sedans. Not that it didn’t manufacture HD technology equipped vehicles before; the company first included HD radio technology as a standard feature as an option in its 2006, 6 and 7 Series models. In 2007, BMW became the first automotive company to install HD Radio receivers as an option across its entire 2007 product line. There are about 2000 radio stations broadcasting using HD Radio technology, reaching about 84% of the US population, hence, BMW’s plan to dole out HD technology integrated technology should work wonders for it!
