Koenigsegg’s first street legal car for the US packs in a staggering 1,160 horses

The obscenely well-equipped Koenigsegg Agera XS steps in to challenge the big names of automotive excellence yet again. Things shall be seen and heard at the Monterey Car Week that could well make this Swedish machine one of the most desirable cars there is. It will be their first fully US homologated and road-legal car. The car on display will be the renamed Agera RS. Formerly suppressed under the ‘Show and Display’ car category that disallows the plying of these cars on streets, the XS now exclusively finds its place on the tarmac. The car will wear the 128 chassis number and on request, shall be presented in Karosserie Orange. The interior of the car will carry this attractive, sporty blend of colors and a mean black rear spoiler.

The car will come fitted with a 5-liter V8 engine that produces 1,160 horsepower. The car will weigh just 3,075 pounds, making it extremely agile and fast. The twin-turbocharged engine will see power sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed sequential gearbox.
