Lexus has unveiled its first luxury yacht – Its 65 foot long and packs 1000 hp

A few days back, Lexus teased a “fourth flagship” vehicle, in addition to the LS sedan, LX SUV and LC coupe. Well, it turns out that it isn’t a land based automobile but a luxury vessel meant to conquer the open seas. The Japanese manufacturer has lifted the veil from its first ever luxury yacht called the LY 650. Measuring 65 feet in length, it has been designed with the same “L-finesse” language seen on the Lexus cars. Back in 2017, Toyota showcased the Lexus Sport Yacht Concept at the Miami Boat Show, hinting its intentions to enter the luxury yacht market. Earlier this year, the concept won “Boat of the Year” at the Japan International Boat Show in Yokohama, where the Japanese automaker confirmed the rumor of the yacht’s production with Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Corp., Shigeki Tomoyama, announcing partnership with renowned boat builder Marquis-Larson.

There are very little details about the LY 650 luxury boat as of yet; what we know so far is that it will have three staterooms, three heads, and will sleeps six people. It will be powered by the choice of a Volvo IPS 1200 or Volvo IPS 1350 marine engine, and can hold 1,000 gallons of fuel.
