Martin Jetpack demoed plus videoed

Martin Jetpack gets the distinction of being an “experimental ultralight airplane, equipped with a gas-powered, V-4 piston engine and two ducted fans that provide the lift.” (So defined by FAA) This jetpack was unveiled amongst a crowd in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The pack allows one to hover for around 30 minutes and rise to 8,000 feet. Needless to say, those who sign up for this one (it costs $100,000) have to complete 15 hours of flight training plus undergo a “safety screening.”
