Maserati Ghibli gets sinister all-black Nerissimo special edition

At the 2017 New York Auto Show, Maserati has revealed its new blacked-out Ghibli Nerissimo Edition. Nerissimo in English translates to the phrase “extremely black” and the limited-edition trim package add exactly what the name implies. Available on the base Ghibli, Ghibli S, and Ghibli S Q4 models, the Nerissimo package includes glossy black finish 20-inch Urano wheels, black door handles, black window trim and black grille features on the outside. Inside the cabin, it comes with black extended leather interior featuring red stitching and gear-shift paddles, INOX sport pedals, red brake calipers, dark mirror interior trim, sport Seats and a sport Steering wheel.

The special edition package only adds cosmetic changes and the powertrain remains the same 404-horsepower twin-turbo V6 and eight-speed automatic found in the normal Ghibli. Pricing for the Ghibli Nerissimo Edition will start at $77,250. The Ghibli S or S Q4-based models on the other hand will come with a starting price of $84,000 and $86,500, respectively. Maserati will build only 450 Ghibli Nerissimo Editions and each will be specially branded with a center console-mounted badge marking its build number. Stay tuned for more N.Y. auto show coverage
