This infographic on the most expensive cars in the world features cars from some of the world’s most luxurious and elite car makers, such as Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. With eye watering price tags of up to $10 million, it makes you wonder why exactly these cars are so expensive.
First on the list is the Maybach Exelero, a one off design costing $8 million. The Exelero is heavy, weighing 2.6 tonnes, so its top speed of 217mph and ability to do 0-60mph in 4 seconds is impressive to say the least. The Exelero has been driven by Bryan “Birdman” Williams after he purchased it in 2011, but before that it was featured in Jay Z’s music video for his single “Lost One” in 2006!
The second most expensive car is the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, which is also the first ever ‘green’ super car. The CCXR was designed with a diamond exterior finish called the Koenigsegg Proprietary Diamond Weave, which was created by coating carbon fibres with a diamond dust impregnated resin. It was awarded one of the “10 most beautiful cars in history” by Forbes magazine in 2009.
The street legal racing car, Lamborghini Veneno, was made to commemorate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary celebrations and only three were available to purchase (they all sold!). The Veneno is reportedly named after a famous Spanish fighting bull known for its speed and feisty attitude. It seems fitting, as the Lamborghini Veneno has a top speed of 221mph and a staggering 740 horsepower.
These cars are unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. The remaining cars all have impressive top speeds, horsepower and elegant designs. If money was no object, which car would you choose?
