Peugeot Onyx hybrid sports car concept to debut at 2012 Paris Motor Show

Taking further steps towards building greener sports cars, Peugeot has unveiled the Onyx that will make its debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show later this month. The beautiful two-tone hybrid vehicle is not only eye-catching but is propelled by a fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain. The 3.7-liter V8 diesel engine sits at the back of the car and the electric motor over the front axle and gives out an enormous 600 horsepower to all the wheels. The concept car’s two tones are flat black and copper with an extremely minimalistic design. Ideally it would be best to have a carbon fiber body but we will have to wait until the Paris Motor Show to find out more about it.

Unconfirmed on whether the car will actually hit the streets, Peugeot hopes to bring the engine technology in the rest of the cars they are designing.
